To save Cathy, it took 3 more songs to produce an EP. Alain Barrière scraped his drawer bottoms and produced 3 songs from sketches that yesterday, before someone did (My Life, p50). If he had to on earth is one of those three songs ...

2 Lyrics
13 stanzas in all, some very short (3 to) other longer (up to 6), which are structured into 4 sections: A

Initially six short verses that start with If I had that on Earth / One day. Then
B 4 stanzas longer the first two starting My life (well, already?)
C. Then two short verses that start also If I had that on Earth / One day last a
D final stanza.

Sections A and C refer to the possibility that one day in future, be so loved in return and do more definitively removed.
The first two stanzas of section B (My life) paint a picture of what would become our love: My life would not be a Whirlpool / My life would become a slow death.
The last two verses of this same section B gradually introduce a slight glimmer of hope: J e know a tune that turns off only when the life goes . Admittedly, this is not the eternal love, but it's still better than the darkness of despair.
The final stanza opens onto hope as the dawn heralds the end of the night, and then all the birds begin to sing.

1962, Alain Barrière released his second 45 rpm EP with 4 new songs of his own. Song A girl was crying was originally written for Dalida, who created in 1961 on stage at the Olympia. All the songs on this tour singing were etched LPs, except for this song (Thanks Jean-Noel for these details). This song fits perfectly with Dalida, but she did not return, probably because too explicit? Dalida had in fact used to conceal the desperation that lived by the happiness expressed in his songs ...

If, as he himself acknowledges, the songs of Alain Barrière are generally rather sad, it is downright sinister: a girl who will not stop crying, and that we finally found dead. A little theme song as sung by a small poppy Mouloudji in 1951, but there she was not crying, she was asleep, and then she was not suicide but was murdered by a jealous lover. So back to our daughter-fountain that never stops complaining: She thinks of love, and focuses on a man whose name she screams. But as always in this case, the confrontation with reality is catastrophic, and madness takes the reins of reason. If the poet does not say she committed suicide, we let it clear.

These positive word better stick to the melody.
The song is gaining strength and consistency.
Conversely, a girl crying suffers from a very great contradiction between a very positive song and lyrics too negative. No doubt the large gap is too big?

And then, I will propose here a more speculative hypothesis: this song was originally intended to be sung by Dalida in history is actually prescient. After dreaming the great love Dalida lived a life punctuated by numerous dramas, mostly from the years 1961-1963 (our song in 1962), with a long list of husbands and lovers who commit suicide or end up running away. 1962, Alain Barrière released his second 45 rpm EP with 4 new songs. Of these, Lisbon, song built from the text by Robert Desnos and Alain Barrière has set to music.

2 Lyrics
This text appears in the middle of free verse in a poem taken from Siramour written in 1931 and published the same year in Commerce. This poem was published in the collection Fortunes published by Gallimard in 1942.

A priori this beautiful poem (like many others!) Does not mean much ...

Now, let's look more closely. He must already know that in the work of Desnos, the siren figure his partner Yuri. Itself is represented by the hippocampus.
